Meeting 1: Attendees: Pallavi, Kamal, Ranjith, Jag 
 

   1. Central asha conference call was tentatively planned for: Kamal will be
contacting cheran and Shankar for holiday schedules and passing on information 
obtained to Pallav. Pallavi will be emailing pooja with the available times and 
dates for the conference call with central asha.

   2. It was discussed that the chapter should reserve a room for the entire 
next semester (Spring 2007) now that we are an RSO: Jag will be emailing Kamal 
the filled reservation form found online and Kamal will proceed with reservation
from there. The time most suitable to all volunteers is Sundays, 4pm at Union South.

   3. Access to administrative funds was discussed next: Funds will be needed
for putting together the publicity material for the Spring kick-off 2007. 
Pallavi will be calling the SOO to get information on Open Fund category. As a
back-up need might arise for Ranjith to contact the Central treasury for
administrative funds from the interest accrued.


   4. Getting to the source of the amount that was unaccounted for: Ranjith will
be following up on this and identifying who the source of that amount is from 
the central treasurer. Aletter of appreciation and update on the chapter might
be needed to be sent out to that source as well.

   5. Holiday Schedules for all volunteers were noted: Pallavi will be around 
the entire months of Dec and Jan (my life sucks or wat! ;))……Kamal will be 
reachable all days except 24,25,26 December…….Ranjith will not be accessible 
after 1 st week of Jan till Feb 1st week……..Jag will be gone from Dec 22nd till 
Jan 8th. …………Cheran?.........Shankar?................Niveditha?..............Sai?

   6. Spring 2007 Kick-off rough Pre-Plan: The kick-off will be held sometime in
the first two weeks of Spring, most probably at the IGSA spring kick-off. 
Pallavi will email and remind pooja to have Vishal send the documentary for 
Asha. Kamal and Jag will get in touch with Manchikanti, with Sai’s help to get 
hold of some of the older publicity material that might be used as a template 
for new. There was some preliminary brainstorming of ides about shooting videos 
of current asha ‘enthusiasts’ as using that for publicity, effective 
distribution of flyers, posters, etc. Discussions are in progress. By the next 
meeting in January Kamal and Jag will present more concrete ideas about how this
will be carried out.

   7. contacting prof from Engineering: Jag showed interest in communicating 
about Asha’s revival and need for motivated volunteers to Prof. Suresh Krishnan
from Mech. In early Jan. Thanks Jag!


   8. Kamal to call Austin volunteers: to get information about their projects.
He will also be emailing project write-up if possible.

   9. Contacting Kiran Manchikanti: Kamal and Sai.
