   So tuesday rehearsal cancelled

   Need to decide $ amt we will be sending. They need the funding

   Murali contacted Asha-MIT who have been funding the education  
   project for last 3 years

   Murali contacting Share n Care in NJ who have earlier funded 
   Swanirwar jointly with Asha-MIT
   Arnab's report and photographs of his visit to Swanirwar  
   in Jan 98
   are very encouraging. Ganti will be putting it on our website.


Discussion Series  
   Vidhi contacted Chingari and Center for South Asia about the
   discussion series on social/political  issues in India.
   A seperate minutes has been sent out for the Asha/chingari
   meeting which took place right after the Asha meeting on sat feb
   28th. 

   It will be Mar 19th onwards , every thursday (tentatively)
   thru April to coincide with Asian American month in April.

   The first one is on Elections in India. Please read minutes of 
that meeting for details.

Accounting

   Need to decide how much funds we are keeping for next years
activities. And  whether we are funding projects beyond Swanirwar and
EOTO if we have surplus funds.
We need someone to visit himalchuli and prof.swaminathan  about money they
were holding for asha. 
any volunteer for himalchuli ? 
sharmila - can u check on swaminathan (now that we got the carpet back to
him ;)
