Donations have started coming in. - Vineeta volunteered to work on the article (about Asha) that would go in the Badyer Yearbook. Little Stars School: - Vidhi read out a letter that she received from Asha Pandey of the Little Stars' school. The letter was accompanied by a cute drawing by one of the students of the school. The building for the school has been going on the they hope to move in to the new building by June/July this year. She is also planning to start a vocational training programme around the same time. Vidhi also informed us that Asha-Berkeley has issued a check for $6K to Asha-India who will then route the funds to the school. Vishal provided us with an update about the current funding requirement. Another $7K was required for completing the construction of the ground floor. It was decided that Asha-Madison will issue them a check for $2K towards the same. Param will contact Pankaj Gupta about the same. We'll also talk with Asha Pandey over the phone on Saturday morning to get answers to some other questions that we had - primarily about her running expenses. Asha Conference: - Vidhi & Vidya will be attending the Asha Conference at Boston this May. Others (Subbu, Vineeta) might go, but are yet unsure. As of now, one of Vidhi/Vidya will be representing Asha-Madison at the conference. T-shirt: - We decided to get together on one day during the weekend of April 10th to work on a T-shirt design of our own. During that weekend, we will also check out on T-shirt samples from suppliers of T-shirts. Stalls at Press House (on April 15th) and India Nite (May 1st): - We'll be setting up a stall at Press House on April 15th after the talk organized by "Students for a Free Tibet". Vinod volunteered to be at the stall on this day. - Charu will be talking with Rohan Parikh (ISA president) about us setting up a stall during India Nite (and possibly a presentation, it possible). - In general, it was felt that we need to monitor the events on campus when we could set up awareness booths.
