1. An introduction was given about ASHA to all new members about the
    various projects of ASHA-Madison in India.  There were discussions
    about Swarnirwar, EOTO & Little Stars School.  The problems facing
    the EOTO Sponsor-a-Child programme were discussed.  One of the main
    problems is that some of the children do not appear to be really
    needy.  There was some discussion of the Little Stars Project and
    the need for a review some time soon.
2. It was announced that a budget of $500 had been approved by the ASM
    for the screening of the film "The Making of the Mahatma".  The MCC
    hearing for $600 is on the 23rd.  (NOTE: There has been a change
    in the venue, date & budget from the previous meeting.  The movie
    is now being screened on the Oct 25th, 6 pm at Main Theatre, Mem. Union.
    The revised budget is $1100 -- Sastry)
3. It was also proposed to form groups (not formal ones, but rather a group 
    of people being given responsibility for a particular aspect of ASHA)
    to streamline the functioning of this chapter. Mails would be sent out
    on the mailing list about this.
4. It was also decided that ASHA would meet fortnightly during the semester
    (or as the need arises).  There was a lot of debate regarding the day
    and timing of the meeting.  Mails would be sent regarding this too.
