Asha-Madison organized a classical Indian dance concert (Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi) by Shoba Natarajan on September 30, 2000 at West High School Auditorium in Madison. The aim was to raise funds for supporting the efforts of the Vivekandanda Foundation to improve the quality of education in government schools in rural Karnataka, India (please get in touch with us for more details about the project). The proceeds from the concert enabled us to send $2400 to the Vivekananda Foundation. We wish to thank everyone involved (Shoba Natarajan, attendees, Asha-Madison volunteers, sponsors and West High School) for making the concert a great success.
