Meeting date: Sept 10, 2006.

1. There was a brief discussion on the timings and duration of the
meetings. Plan to try out short and focussed general meetings starting a bit
late(11am) in the future for everyone's convenience.

2. Info session: Asha MIT/Boston is planning to hold an info session event
for MIT students and other new volunteers around the Boston area on
sep27th(wed) night. Silpa/Tara to organize this session. The session would
include an overview of Asha with posters, movies and with snacks provided.

3. Small scale events: We received feedback from volunteers who were
affiliated with other Asha chapters(in Arizona, Atlanta, NYC/NJ) on small
scale events. Few ideas that seemed to have worked at other chapters and we
are going to try are: (a)Antakshiri - Tara (b)Carrom board games - Tina
(c)Poker nite - Rakesh (d) Hike/applepicking - Himanshu Afforementioned
people are going to find out the details and get back on the feasibility of
these events. Other possiblities for long term include forming education
focused groups and have seminars/talks, forming alliances with other
orgs,etc

4. Large scale event: Tara to look into the possibiity of a dance
competition( possible themes - folk dance, 70s/80s/90s, particular
actor/actress, remix, et al)
