Asha Virginia Tech (NRV) chapter has formally acquired mentorship of the Vikahar Project from Asha Philadelphia chapter. We sponsor a class of 75 students in Vikahar village in Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal. The funds are provided to cater for all the basic educational needs of children who are studying in grades I through IV at a school run by Economic Rural Development Society. An information session for new students was held by Asha NRV chapter
in cooperation with AID VT on Friday, August 31, 2007. The response was
very good and nine new volunteers signed up.
