
How long is the Asha Run/Walk?
The course is 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles.
How much is the registration fee? What is included in the registration fee?
The $20 registration fee helps to cover the costs of the event, refreshments and includes a complimentary Asha Run/Walk T-shirt and goody bag.
The registration fee increases to $25 onsite on June 30, 2007.
Do I have to raise pledges?
We recommend that each participant set a fundraising goal to work towards - $50, $100, $500, $1000 or more.
Ask your colleagues, friends and family to donate on your behalf.
Fundraising awards will be distributed to top fundraisers. However, it is not mandatory to raise pledges.
Where does the pledge money go?
100% of net proceeds from the 5K go directly into our projects.
Where do I turn in pledge money (cash/check)?
Credit card donations can be done online through your personal pledge page.
Cash and check pledges may be mailed before & after the event or turned in the day of the event at the registration desk.
If you are mailing in your pledges, write your name in the memo field on the check. Make sure to keep a copy of the pledge form for your records.

Is there a place for me to check my bags?
Yes. There is a baggage check-in at the registration desk that is open until 9:00am (before the race start).
You can then retrieve your bags at the designated baggage pick-up area when the 5K finishes (a baggage claim ticket will be attached to your bib for use).
Where do I get my T-shirt and gift bag?
Participants can collect the 5K T-shirt during the finish line ceremony. The available sizes are small, medium, large and x-large.
Please indicate your size preference on the registration form.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available to all participants upon completion of the event.
Water will be provided throughout the event.
How do you track each participant?
Each participant, whether running or walking, will receive a runner ID number, also referred to as a bib number, to wear on the day of the event.
This number helps identify each participant for recording finish times and fundraising totals. Bib numbers will be available at the registration desk.
What if it rains on June 30?
The Asha 5K Run/Walk will take place rain or shine.
May I bring a stroller?
Yes, strollers are allowed for the 5K. In an effort to keep all participants safe, it is essential that all strollers line up in the back of the crowd for the start of the race.
