Ranjeet,

Thank you for giving us an update on the ASHA-BGM project and we thank ASHA
for its forthrightness.

Since the funds have not been utilized within the time specified and it has
been determined that the funds will no longer be expended for the BGM project,
ASHA is requested to please return the grant amount of $10,500 to the i2 Foundation.

Regarding your suggestion that the funds be diverted to another ASHA program --
our operational policies do not permit us to reallocate the funds without the consent of
the grants committee and the board.

We would be happy to work with ASHA in the future. We are sorry that the BGM project
did not work out as planned. Although it is a very good program, some things are beyond
our control. Please do not be disheartened at this temporary setback; other worthy projects
are available that need your help.
