Home for Seva Chakkara Orphanage
Seva Chakkara Orphanage provides a residential home for over 90 children, but has no permanent home for itself. One of the largest disadvantages of living in a rented apartment is being asked to move. In the past, each time they have been moved, they have suffered setbacks in adjusting and providing for the children.
There is also a substantial amount that is spent on rent ($2,500/year) and this over the years could instead be spent in improving the condition of the children and their education.
The present rented accomodation is suitable for the children at the orphanage and Asha is trying to work with them towards this goal. The total funding requirement is around $80,000.(40 lacs)
Feb 05: Two years after we started the efforts towards the building we have now been able to raise all the funds required.
