Bringing Hope Through Education

Asha for Education is an all-volunteer worldwide non-profit organization that works to provide basic education to underprivileged children in India. Since it's inception in 1991, Asha has disbursed over $20 million and has directly supported over 400 projects (316 currently active as of 2011) in 24 states benefiting thousands of children in India

The Asha Chapter at Philadelphia (click for brochure) was founded in the Summer of 2001. As South Asians privileged with opportunities unavailable to many children in India, we feel that it is our responsibility to support and catalyze socio-economic change through the promotion of basic education. By raising financial resources and awareness on campuses and in the greater Philadelphia community, we hope to fund educational projects that can improve the lives of underpriviledged children in India.

Donations to Asha for Education are tax-deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Tax Code in the USA. To make a donation, please click the image to the right.
