Aasra Sewa Sansthan is selected for the Work An Hour Campaign 2009.
Fund raising events completed with Delta Phi Omega Sorority at Drexel University on April 14th, 2009 and with the Rajput Association of North America (RANA) Youth Convention on 22nd May, 2009.

March 12/13 2009: Site visit done for Aasra Sewa Sansthan and RTI & NREGA Campaign projects. Meeting with Vallabh Pandey and Manoj from ASV Gonwara in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Asha Philadelphia Spring 2009 Banquet: Feb 28, 2009. An evening bringing together Asha Philadelphia volunteers to celebrate 2008's successes and plans for 2009. The event will feature talks by eminent speakers, entertainment courtesy of local classical music and dance groups, and dinner.
Funds for all three projects: Aasra Sewa Sansthan, ASV Gonwara and RTI UP and Bihar, for the first 6-months of 2009 have been disbursed. Details can be found on the projects page.
Project Aasra is holding a health camp in the first two weeks of January 2009. Details will be updated on the project page towards the end of the month.
Workers of Project RTI UP and Bihar will holding their first 6-month review meeting on January 15th, 2009 to review progress of the Mid-Day Meal Monitoring scheme. The meeting will be headed by Vallabh Pandey of the Asha Kashi chapter and will be held in Varanasi, U.P., India.
