Seva Bharathi Project Details
Who are we?
This village is a small settlement of approximately 1200 huts. The residents of this village were previously living in a slum next to the football stadium in Bangalore. These slums were cleared up by the government and their residents were asked to occupy land in what is now Ullalu village. 

Who are the partners in this project and what is the  location? 
Started in 1993 under Rashtrotthana Parishat, a registered society in Bangalore. Seva Bharathi is situated in the Ullal Upanagara village approximately 15 kms from Bangalore (around 4 kms from the Bangalore University campus).

What are the problems of the people? 
Very poor underprivileged people who work on daily wages. They have poor access to resources. The village has only just got water supply

What is being done for the children of the  villages? 
The school has been built. Regular visits are done by doctors. More details are in the site visit report.

What is the action plan? 
Short term Goal: Education up to 7th standard to already admitted 240 children.

Long term goal: (5 or more years) Total literacy in the village.

How does one reach the project site? 

To reach our school from Bangalore travel towards Mysore road and take right turn at bangalore university entrance. After university main bus stop take left turn to ullalu upanagar village, travel 2.5 K.M. to reach Ullal and ask for Seva Bharathi Vidyalaya.
