Sufficient space for the location 2) Qualifications of Staff involved - Preferably, communication background if not child Dev. background. a) Communication expert (person who will answer phone calls and provide referrals): refer the above answer b) Computer database person: (eneters data in computer, maintains data) This person will be a part time person who will from time to come to arrange informations. 3) Salary of these staff members - Telephone person (Proposal asks for Rs. 8000 per month), Computer person (proposal asks for rs. 3000 per month for a part time computer person) It is in line with the existing salary of the Astha. 4) Professionalism/dedication of staff. What is the response time on the calls received. What are the times and days the helpline is staffed. Target is to response then and there, with one full time worker looking after. 5) Does the organization have room/equipment/electricity/phone connection for the planned work such photocopying, computer work? Yes 6) What number the families of disabled children will call to reach the ASTHA Helpline Can't say, but it will cather Delhi and neighbouring cities, it will be large 7) What upgrades will be provided to the Helpline based on Asha funding: One full time worker to be available all the time 8) Examples of disabled children and families that will call this Helpline, what type of disabilities they may have.? All types of disabilities, both physical and mental. 9) Examples of information this Helpline provide to the children and their familes that call Calls coming are increasing, I saw the recorded call in few files. 10) What other resources/organizations will the callers be referred to, how will their information be obtained and maintained, and who will obtain and maintain this information Institutions, Centre etc. working for the disabilities will be interface with the callers, by the helpline 11) If a used xerox machine was to be bought for them, how much will it cost. They have indicated that they prefer a new quality machine, how much do these cost. What are the benefits of a new machine vs. a used one. I would suggest that we go for a new one, for durability reason The whole idea of the rate and quality of any purchase is that one should assume that he is buying for himself ( not thinking that it is free money so let's buy the costliest), here one always take durability, price and quality into considerations.
