TamilNadu, India.

Dear Mr. Rajavelu,

Enclosed please find the check for the amount of $500 for the second installment for the last school year (2002-2003).  We are happy to see the progress and that you have appointed a second teacher Mrs. Mullai.  I hope she and Ms. Samundi are doing well. Please convey our regards to them.

I hope you found the books Ram brought useful. Are the children using them?  Have the teachers found them useful in class?

How did the teachers like the Asha teacher training workshop in Chennai?

Please send us a paper receipt for this amount as soon as you receive it. Please also send us receipts at the end of the year showing how the amount was utilized. This is required so that Asha-MIT can file these receipts with the US government’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The next installment for the year 2003-2004 is due immediately.   We will look into that within the next month.  This year you will probably not need funds for learning materials and educational equipment as these have been purchased already?  Do you have a revised budget you can email to me?  Or is it the same budget?

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help out with.

Warm regards,

Melli Annamalai, Asha-MIT
