INTRODUCTION
The Bhoomiheen Sewa Samiti project aims to provide basic education and skills to children of the landless and extremely
poor kids of the
Banda District in UP state of India. The material on the project is
available in multiple parts described as below:
- Part 1 contains the original posting.
- Part 2 Annual report on acivities of the Bhoomi Heen Sewa Samiti.
- Part 3 Answers to questions that had been asked a couple of weeks
ago
- Part 4 A letter of recommendation from the Chief Secretary of the UP
Govt. Mr. Yogendra Narain
- Part 5 The site visit report which is expected any day now. Sandeep in India is helping out with the site visit. This
site visit was
done by Mahesh Asha-India volunteer.
Asha - Seattle has decided to fund the recurring portion of the
expense ($6200 per year) for three years. Asha - MIT has decided to
fund approximately $1700 worth of one time fixed expenses.
NOTE: The financial information for this project is scattered across
and there are two numbers, one in the original proposal and one in
the Site visit report. Asha - Seattle is providing the funding based
on the estimates provided in the site visit report. The estimates
for the WAH -99 funding are also based on the site visit report. The
summary below captures the estimates.
