Dear Indrajit ji,
Thank you for mailing the project progress report and the associated details. It is good to know that the project is going well, and moving along constructively. It was very encouraging to hear about the efforts of Aviram in our recent discussion with Ajit ji.
We apologize for the long delay in sending the second installment. After receiving Aviram’s progress report, we discussed the matter, and have approved the second installment of funding. In providing this funding, we would kindly appreciate your urgency in providing us with two pieces of information. First, could you please send us copies of all the receipts for your expenses related to the Asha funding (i.e. receipts from instructors, and other material purchased). This is required so that Asha-MIT can file these receipts with the US government’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Similarly, could you please send us a copy of Aviram’s audited financial report?
In terms of the second piece of information, can you please provide some details around the teachers training? Such training is quite essential and much in need. We would very much like to understand the type of training Aviram teachers received so we can suggest the same to other projects. Specifically, we are looking for:
- Where it was conducted?
- What was covered?
- Who was conducting it?
- Who participated?
- In the initial funding request, your organization asked for continuing teacher training for the following year. What further coursework is taught to the children?
Enclosed is the second installment for the amount of US $1400, which is ~Rs. 64,000.
Please send us a paper receipt for this amount as soon as you receive it.
We also realize that at this time the second year installment is due. Before we can fund this second year installment, the following measures need to be taken:
- As mentioned above, Aviram must send Asha a copy of the audited accounts that Aviram provides for maintaining FCRA.
- Also mentioned above, Aviram must send Asha the receipts for Asha funds disbursed.
- Asha must send a volunteer to conduct a site visit.
Please provide the first two, and we will try to work on finding someone to do the site visit.
