Funds Requested: Rs. 2 lakhs ($4650) one time need

At present their dire need is to get a drinking water connection for the school and arrange for a permanent sewerage connection. They currently have a borewell connection. The water from that is brackish and not potable. Therefore they need to get corporation water supply. The estimate for the water and sewerage connection is Rs. 2 lakhs ($4650). If we are interested in sponsoring this, they will send us the official estimates from BWSSB (Bangalore Board) and a Water Management Company. If we are interested in a donation towards regular operating expenses, that is also welcome.

Present Funding status:

The school gets a yearly government grant that takes care of 80% of the teachers' salaries. The grant falls short of their operating expenses (Rs.12 lakhs annually) by Rs. 3-4 lakhs, which is raised through donations. No fees are charged from the children.
