Hope you are doing well. Havent heard from you at all and we were
wondering what has happened.

Hope you saw our responses to your queries. Any problems related to
that?

The children are on vacation now, till the 19th of May. Before
closing, we had a Graduation Day for one of the children in our Autism
Unit.

He has been with us for 8 years now and has transformed from a
destructive, aggressive and uncommunicative boy with many behavioural
challenges to one who creates exquisite stained glass paintings.

Today, he can speak in 3 languages( English, Kannada and Coorgi)and
makes meaningful conversation, he rarely indulges in destructive
behaviour, is comfortable in social gatherings and even takes the
initiative to sing, dance, act on stage without any anxiety. He helps
his mother in domestic chores and can plan the use of his time
productively. He will be returning to his home in Coorg in a month
where he will perform certain tasks to help his father, for which he
has been trained.

There are many such success stories and we have been really proud to
have been part of their growth.

We have 103 children now, who are Mentally Challenged and Autistic and
15 in the Balwadi.
