Minutes of the conference call held on 03/26/09 at 9.30pm to discuss 
the renewal of Anu and Krishna fellowship for the year 2009:

1. Priya provided an update on the activities taken up by Anu and 
Krishna and the progress at Thulir in 2008. Priya visited Thulir in 
August 2008. The site report was posted at the fellowship site. The 
meeting appreciated the progress at the Thulir and the contributions 
of Anu and Krishna. Meeting also took note of the attention Anu 
Krishna's work is receiving. The meeting decided to renew the 
fellowship proposal for the next year. 


2. Priya presented the renewal proposal for the year 2009 (April 2009 
- March 2010). The support provided by the chapter since the beginning 
of the fellowship was reviewed and recent support from Bangalore 
chapter for additional needs at the Thulir was discussed briefly. 
Considering the last year's confusion about the amount, two budget 
options were presented in the proposal for continuing the support. One 
option was to increase the 
amount by 5% over last year's rupee payment. The other option was to 
consider the original request in dollar amount. The meeting discussed 
and felt that first option was better in view of the fluctuating 
dollar exchange rate, and the fact that the first option increases in 
the support. The meting decided to support the fellowship for the next 
year at Rs. 2,40,500 (which is approximately equivalent to $4800). The 
dollar amount was adjusted to $4900 to cover the dollar rupee exchange 
rate. The meeting approved for $4900 for the April 2009 – March 2010 
period. 


3. The meeting also discussed additional needs of Anu and Krishna such 
as recurring expenses for running the Thulir center or equipment/ 
construction work. The meeting requested Priya to explore if Anu and 
Krishna would like to submit a proposal for WAH 2009 for equipment/ 
construction or one time expense.
