ECTAL – Educational Content for Technology Aided Learning

Status Report- October 4, 2003

June-2003

ECTAL  project proposal was drafted and Rajaram was named project steward. It was decided that Lakshmi S would work the project with a team of teachers helping create content and computer literate persons who would create the appropriate digital effects.

July 2003

10 sample lessons were circulated and reviewed.  The revievers reported that “they look quite good.”

The ECTAL work was taken forward based on this positive feedback.

To provide the honorariums to the persons who develop the contents we planned to start drawing upon the Rs 10,000/- allocated for the project (From the 2.5 lakhs donation decided during the June Worldwide conference).

August and Sept 2003

The content creation, vetting the content with teachers and students of Olcott Memorial High School happened.

The lessons created by the following persons have been used in the content preparation

The first Cd containing 25 lessons have been prepared.

The copies have been made for -Olcott Memorial High School, Urur Kuppam School, Sevachakra, Sevalaya, Cheshire Home

Further required copies can be had from him.

Intense work is in progress.. We have spent about Rs 8000 so far in the work.
