Updates incorporating the recent site visits

Recent site-visits of Asha done by
1. Ajay Jethi (Dubai) on 14th May 2005
2. Vallabh and Rakesh (Asha-Lucknow) on 22nd September 05.
Updates regarding various points from their recent reports:
- We are running 6 centers: Harsos, Kallipur, Narayanpur, Veerbhanpur, Chandpur and Todarpur. All centers are running smoothly.
- We worked on improvement of Narayanpur center as per suggestion given by Asha.
- We will withdraw our center from Harsos in April and will start a new center at Bahoranpur, this is a Dalit Basti and government primary school is too for from this place. Teachers and children of Harsos center will be merged with the Asha Samajik Vidyalaya, Harsos.
- Todarpur center restarted in October, as it is for migrant laborers.
- We mainstreamed 39 of our students in government school.
- We paid balance honorarium of all teachers in December 05.
- We adopted 28 handicapped children from about 10 villages. All of them are affected by Polio. We supported 3 children for their operation expenses.
- We have formed 126 SHGs till now; some of groups are working on self-reliance activities.
- We are working on Right to Information and Right to Food in about 10 Villages.
- Class wise center wise students numbers is shown in following table as on 31 December.
