Sustained support
-
This method of supporting a project ensures continuity of funding for long
enough time for the project to become established and self-sustaining in
the community it is serving.
Direct Participation
- The professionals who will support the project come from different background
and are rich in experiences. The Asha Stars Program will ensure an active
involvement of the donors in the projects supported. They will be
able to aid the project not only with sustained financial support, but
also with meaningful feedback. Moreover, visits by people who support
the project are known to encourage the individuals running the project,
the children and also to the community that is being served by the
project.
Mass involvement
- The Asha Stars Program has the potential to involve a large number of
professionals in the setting up of schools, child-care centres and other
institutions related to children's education in India especially in places
where they are most needed. This will supplement and strengthen the
efforts of the government and the innumerable social workers and volunteers
in their efforts to build an egalitarian country.
