The following questionnaire helps us know you better and match you with a project that is best suited to your commitment. An Asha-Stars co-ordinator will contact you to discuss the Stars program in further detail and answer any questions you might have.

Have you been associated with Asha for Education in the past? If yes, how long?
Which Asha chapter(s) have you worked with?
Have you worked with any development/social service organisation before? Give duration and nature of involvement.
What are your strengths that you think you can employ to help an Asha Stars Project? (e.g. fund-raising, web-related, teaching experience, management etc.)
What time period would you be be willing to commit for a project? ( Typical commitment for Asha Stars projects is 5 - 10 years. However this depends various other factors such as nature of the project, stars team etc.)
How many hours per week would you be able to commit to Asha - Stars tasks? (i.e. the time for responding to emails, holding conference calls, calling India etc. Typically a star would spend about 2 hours per week)
Would you be able to make monetory contributions for the project every year? (On an average an Asha-Star makes a monetary contribution of $300 - $500 per year for 5 - 10 years. Actual figures would depend on the project and the Asha-Stars team for it)
How often will you be able to make a personal visit to your Stars project?

Is there a team of people who are helping out with this project? If so, describe the nature of the group.

New Project Selection

If you do not already have a project in mind, Stars program co-ordinators will help you find one based on your preferences.

Do you have preference for a region/state where you would like the project to be in?
Is there a specific type of project that interests you? (eg. urban/rural/vocational training/basic education)
Do you have a group of people who would like to work with you to support a project? If yes, describe nature of the group.
