Teachers training
98% of these teachers has been training in on going process weekly once, we spend full day to prepare for next week class room. Apart from this we arranged once in a month, 2 days training and handle by Siddamma and Shyamala, who is specialist in training for special school teachers. During the training period, teachers prepare their teaching materials also.
School construction
The land for the school construction was selected and given by the committee and school construction made by the committee. And except construction materials and masions all other work was done by the committee. Now Senjiagaram, Jangalpalli, Rajapalayam, Mullainagar, Rajarathinagar construction had been completed. In Kottaikulam government Balwadi had been constructed, it was yet to complete. We may use this school for centre. It has not finalished it.
In Ilavambed and Athankarai people living in temporary place. Where they don't have patta (document for their living place). We are trying to get them permanent land for their hut present place where they are living in belongs to Tank (PWD) which is objectionable land. So once we get the permanent land. We will build our school. Now committee has built small temporary hut for the school.
School Committee
Committee had been formed and this committee is assisting day
by day work as such, bringing children, observing attendance, food, regularity
of teachers, helper etc. They meet once in a month to evaluate the
school activities.
Syllabus in the class
Usually we encourage our teachers to give choice to decide the
day subject by the children, we try to implement the methods that the children
decide what the children wants to learn the particular day. We teach
Tamil and maths at present. Through picture and flash card.
We teach Tamil and maths. We start with the word and sentence not
with the letter. So that the children understand the letter in very
easy way. Apart from Tamil and maths we also give activities like
painting, drawing, clay, collaze, puzzles, story, action songs and out
door activities like food ball, village based games etc.
We encouraging village games, songs, story told by the children. So that their skill also recognize and encourage to store it.
Health care
In the aspect of health care, we are providing daily morning
one cup of porage (kanji) consisting of all the serials with sugar and
milk, afternoon, cooked rice with dhall, vegetables greens and once in
a week one egg. Evening we provide dates and sandal (cooked
channa etc) . Apart from this now we planning to provide multi vitamin
tablets. So that the children who suffer from vitamin difficiancies
could take cure of we had been taking care of sick children. We took
some of the needy sick children in to government school.
We are managing to keep health records in each school, where
each child's wish has been record in each month.
Parents meeting
Each month we conduct parents meetings in the each school.
In this meeting we revive the whole month class room and about children's
attendance. We always encourage the parents to feed back the children
improvement. So that parents also would think of education is important
than other.
