Support - Mohan went over the finance numbers for Support, a project with
street kids in Mumbai. He spent 10 days in December with this project.
They have a day care center, rehab center, crisis center, night shelter
and vocational training center. Their total requirement is Rs. 38 lakhs
out of which they have funding for Rs. 32 lakhs. Asha funded Rs. 14 lakhs
of this amount. They have a total staff of around 50 people. 120 children
(boys) are in the residential center. Another 35 girls are in the crisis
center. Other sources of funds are mostly local and government bodies.

Jyothi Neelayam - has a new coordinator Ravi

Pledge Drive - Rachana talked about this. We need help with finishing up
the annual pledge drive. Asha calendar is the pledge gift for donations of
$25 or more. Around 30 are left. Contact her if you can help.

Finance - Send all the checks for deposit to Bash, Balaji, Sanjay or
Vidyanand ASAP. Finance has been getting old checks for deposit and we've
got to stop this. Our goal is to deposit every check within one month of
the issue date.

asha_core - We plan on getting rid of this soon. Will soon be a mail to
ask everybody to move to asha-seattle@yahoogroups.com

Coordinator - Jayashree asked for a new coordinator. Coordinator funnels
and delegates all the work to the various volunteers. It will be nice to
have a team of coordinators.

We watched an excellent video on women's movement against liquor in AP.
Had a discussion after the movie about doing a movie weekend sometime
later this year.
