Meeting minutes of Oct 16, 2002

Attendees: Bash (beginning), Vidyanand, Pradeep, Swati

Site visit & photos: Mainly we went thru the photos Swati took during
her site visit in Sept. Talked about the site visits briefly. Full
reports to be posted later.

SAC: Vidyanand gave an update of SAC, specially the finance part, the
past situation & the present. Looks like we have much better tracking
of donor checks now, also good book keeping by Swagato & Jayant in
particular. Maya is also doing great in spite of the fact that she is
not in Seattle.

Vidya Vardan(?): We were looking into some kind of scholarship for
students. Still looking for a better name! Different from SAC since
the child can change within short time (6 mo - 2yrs). Vidyanand
suggested we should name the scholarship after someone the donor
wants to or the donor can choose the name.

CMS NFE's: From the above I also mentioned that we are planning to
find individual donors for each NFE. Comes to similar per month
amount as SAC. We can call it Adopt a Center or something like that.
Vidyanand suggested we can give the donors option to name the center.
Have to work on this to get the Bengali community more involved in
this.
