There are a number of ways in which you can volunteer with Asha. From helping to evaluate project proposals, to organizing concerts, movie festivals or simply listening and being part of active discussions on social issues facing India, Asha offers various opportunities for you to be involved.
The first step is to get on our online discussion group by joining the asha-sf(at)googlegroups.com mailing list; or subscribe directly by entering your email address in the right side of the page.

Asha SF meets once every 2 weeks on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm at the California Institute for Integral Studies, 1453 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94103 (Map). The room location for each meeting is indicated in the calendar.
By Bus: MUNI lines that run close to CIIS are the 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 26, 47. The J,K,L,M,N lines can be taken to the Van Ness/Market MUNI Station, one block from CIIS. Visit www.sfmuni.com for more info.
By BART: Take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to the Civic Center - 8th and Market BART Station. Exit at 8th Street, and walk down Market to 10th Street. Turn left on 10th and walk one block down to Mission Street. Turn right on Mission and walk 1/2 block to CIIS. Visit www.bart.gov for more info.
There is ample street parking in the neighborhood. (Metered parking spots in the neighborhood are free on Sundays.)
