About the Artists:
Pt. Habib Khan: An accomplished composer and vocalist, Pandit Habib Khan is as much at ease with light classical and devotional music as he is with pure classical renderings of Ragas. His talent extends beyond the traditional genres of India to embrace a highly creative exploration of eastern/western modes of music.
Matthew Montfort: Guitarist Matthew Montfort is known as a world guitar innovator. He is the leader of the world music group Ancient Future, a skilled music producer, an author, a composer, and a patient teacher. He performs on many instruments, including scalloped fretboard guitar, Glissentar 11 string fretless guitar, electric guitar, flamenco guitar, bass guitar, sitar, charango, mandolin, and gamelan.
