When and where is the Spring Run/Walk?
The Spring Run/Walk is at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale on April 24th, 2011. The race starts at 9:00AM. On-Site registration
opens at 8:00 AM. A warmup/stretching session will be held at 8:30 AM and the Run/Walk begins at 9:00 AM.
How long is the Spring Run/Walk?
The 5k course is 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles. The 10k course is
10 kilometers or 6.2 miles.
Who needs to register?
Anyone who would like to participate in the Run/Walk and wants to be timed,
should register
by paying the registration fee.
What is the registration fee and
what does it cover?
The registration fee is $25. Race Day Registration starts at 8AM and the Registration fee is $30. However, there is an early bird discount of $20 until April 15th.
The fee includes food, refreshments, goodie bag and entry to the carnival.
Guests
who would just want to participate in the carnival should get a carnival guest pass which is $5 which includes food and drinks.
What if I have some guests who don't want to run or walk?
Please do bring all your friends and family for the event - even if they don't want to run or
walk.
This year we are planning on a carnival with games, henna tattoo, face painting etc. So you and
your guests
can have fun.
Can I bring young children to the Run/Walk?
Do they have to pay the registration fee?
Yes, children are very welcome.
Children 6yrs and older can participate in the race and the registration fee is $25. Children will
be assigned a bib number and will be timed. And even if they do not run, they will have lot more things to do at
the carnival!
Please note: Every child should be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Is there a place for me to check my bags?
No. You can leave your bags at the Registration desk but Team Asha
will
not be responsible for any loss of items.
Where do I get my Gift bag?
Participants can pick up the event Gift and goodie bag at the registration desk after they
finish.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes. Complimentary snacks and beverages may be available to all
participants upon completion of the event. Water will be provided
throughout the event.
How do you track each participant?
Each registered participant, whether running or walking, will receive a
runner
ID number, also referred to as a bib number, to wear on the day of the
event. This number helps identify each participant for recording finish
times. Bib numbers will be available at the
registration desk.
What if it rains on the event date?
The Spring
Run/Walk will take place - rain or shine.
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes. You can bring a stroller. In an effort to keep all participants
safe, it is essential that you line up in the back of the
crowd for the start of the race.
Will there be any refunds, in case I miss the run?
After registering for the event, if you cannot
participate in the Run/Walk, there will be no refunds. You can

What is Team Asha Marathon Training program?
Team Asha trains individuals all over the bay area for a marathon program.
The training is
for six months and starts in April 2011. We have a team of professional coaches who provide
guidance and work with you to make sure you complete your marathon program succesfully.
When is the marathon program launch?
The full launch of the 2011 marathon program will be at an information session to be held around
mid April. However, we will have a soft launch at the spring run. Registration will be open on
