Project Description

Jnana Prabodhini's educational projects cater to various age groups of children. The "Balwadi" or the nursery is for children of age-group 3 to 5 years. For middle school and high school children, there are rural talent development centers which focus on all round personality development. Since this is a economically backward area, there is a high percentage of children who drop out of school after high school. There are vocational training programs that aim to impart agricultural knowledge to help them earn a livelihood. This also helps prevent the migration of these children to urban areas where they would find their way into hotels, beer bars as child labor.
