Several companies encourage volunteerism by matching employee volunteer hours with donations to non-profits they volunteer with.

Many of us put in significant amount of time volunteering with Asha Silicon Valley through various activities including TeamAsha, projects, fundraising events etc. This document outlines the procedure for AshaSV volunteers to log volunteer hours with their employers and request for a matching contribution to AshaSV. This will help bring in much-needed funds for AshaSV.

Please follow instructions in this document to request a match from your company or if your employer is not listed and offers a volunteer hour matching, please update this document with information about how employees can request such a match from your employer. After you are done with requesting a match for your volunteer hours, please log your request on this spreadsheet so that AshaSV FR team can follow up with your company if necessary.

Cisco Systems
Amount/hour: $10/hr

Procedure to request for volunteers hour match:

• logon to Community Connect (https://fed.cisco.com/protectint/startSSO.ping?PartnerSpId=salesforce.com-igive.sp&TargetResource=https://login.salesforce.com/login.jsp)
• On the left column, under "Search for Organizations and Schools", type "asha". From the search results, select "Asha for Education - NYC/NJ"
• Click on "Enter Volunteer Hours", next, select "Individual”, next and complete all the sections.

Other information:
After submitting the request, a verification email will be sent to Asha folks, who should approve it. Max of 100 hours per year can be requested.

• Click - Submit a new request (https://secure4.easymatch.com/EBAYVH/Content/employee/submitGiftPreviousForm.asp)
• Fill out hours, dates, description and purpose of request

Amount/hour: $10/hr

Procedure to request for volunteers hour match:

• Go to the VMGP site at: https://www.easymatch.com/intelinvolved/default.asp
• Click on "I Accept" and enter your site -- there is no login required
• Underneath the "Report Volunteer Hours" image, choose "Report volunteer hours I did on my own"
• If you have already done this before, just select "Asha for Education - Silicon Valley" from the drop down list
• If this is the first time, click on "Search the database for school or non-profit/NGO charitable organization where you volunteered".
• Fill out "Asha for Education" as organization name, CA as state and United States as country. Leave everything else blank and click on Search
• It will return with two choices, Asha Berkeley and Asha Silicon Valley. Click on Asha for Education - Silicon Valley, Sunnyvale CA [ID# 0002748]
• Fill out the event description, your role, and number of hours and submit the request
• You can file if you have at least a minimum of 20 hours to report and Intel will match at $10/hour up to a max of $10000 per employee
• You can also have your spouse fill out his/her volunteering hours under your id, and that will also be matched at $10/hour [only catch is your and your spouse maximum matching limit is cumulatively $10K]

Amount/hour: $ 17 per hour

Procedure to request for volunteers hour match:

• Navigate to http://give
• Go to Volunteer connections
• Hit Record hours
• Search for organization - Asha for Education (there is no sunnyvale in this list so select San Jose)
• Fill appropriate information (Start date, end date, hours you volunteered, what kind of activity did perform while volunteering, and volunteer activity summary)
• Submit the request

Other information:

• Microsoft only pays if you volunteer for more than 10 hours.
• Driving to a location where you are supposed to volunteer is not counted in the hours you volunteered.
