The Sowbhagya Education Trust supports formal education for children from Class 6 through Polytechnic or Higher Education. These children come from families of daily wage laborers, construction workers and the fisherman community of the villages in and around Neelankarai in the suburbs of Chennai.
Subashree Rajagopal, Asha steward for this project visited the children in June-July. These are some pictures of the children studying and playing at the Study Center run by Sowbhagya Educational Trust.

In January 2004, the Sowbhagya Trust held a function where prizes were distributed to students who had excelled in their studies. The kids put up a lively performance consisting of speeches and colorful dance performances. Below are some pictures from the event.
