March to the Mailbox
Asha Stamford received a "Certificate of Appreciation" from Julia Wade, Chair of the Stamford Complete Count Committee in recognition of our Community Service and Volunteerism in the "2010 Stamford City-wide March to the Mailbox Campaign". The campaign was part of the United States Census 2010 program to urge residents to mail in their census forms. On Saturday, April 10th Asha volunteers spent several hours cleaning Scalzi Park, putting up tables, tents, food, etc in preparation for a day-long outreach activities. Asha volunteers also went door-to-door at apartment complexes near downtown Stamford to remind residents about mailing in their census forms.
