Asha Silicon Valley

Budget-wise, one of the largest Asha chapters worldwide, Asha Silicon Valley disburses approximately $350,000 annually to a variety of educational projects in India ranging from non-formal village schools to urban children's shelters to women's self-help groups. The immensely successful Harbingers of Hope Asha Marathon Training Program began at Asha Silicon Valley and has grown to raise upwards of $250,000 this year alone through the commitment, drive and enthusiasm of over 50 runners. Moreover, the burgeoning nature of the chapter has spawned a number of focused units including the Sponsor-A-Child program and the mentor group.
