Work an Hour 2009 Work An Hour, or WAH, as it is popularly known, is a summer-long, global, online fundraising campaign based on a simple concept. Participants are asked to symbolically Work an Hour towards the cause of children's education by donating an hour's worth or more of their salary.
3rd i's Ninth Annual San Francisco International South Asian Film Festival will take place November 9-13, 2011. Five days of shorts, documentaries, and feature films from South Asia and the South Asian Diaspora. This year the festival will present over 15 programs from countries including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Tibet, UK and USA. Join us in front of the Graduate Community Center (GCC, 750 Escondido Rd) at 4:30pm, Saturday, Sept. 24 for the annual Asha Stanford dish hike. We will take students around the trail and then after the short (~3.3 mile) hike we will have Indian food in the Havana Room in GCC starting at around 7pm. See you guys there!
Asha Stanford's Holi is back this year on April 3rd. Stanford's Holi is the largest and best-loved celebration of its kind in the bay area. With over 5000 people last year, this year's Holi will be bigger than ever.

Samarth, meaning "able", is run by the Ganjam District Orthopaedically Handicapped Welfare Association(GDOHWA). The project aims to eliminate discrimination towards and dependency among disabled children in the Ganjam district of Orissa. Asha Stanford has chosen Samarth to be its Work an Hour project for 2010.
