Thanks to my supporters who have helped me raise $1165 towards my goal of $1300.

Asha is a organization working to provide education to underprivileged children in India. It is also unique in having zero overheads, which means that every dollar of your donation directly empowers children with the idea of hope for their future, for their families and for themselves.

I have been contributing to Asha St. Louis chapter since 2002 to help with the fundraising. This year I wanted to participate more actively. The desire to improve my own fitness while contributing in a positive way to society motivates me to run and raise funds for Asha St.Louis. Education is a critical part of improving the lives of the underprivileged in India.

The projects I am raising funds for are -
Hippocampus - It is organization which opens supplementary education centers in rural areas, and sets them up as woman owned business ventures, where the woman is also the teacher. The money I raise would help with setting up another center like this in a village.

Seed - This project aims to educate children of prisoners, terminally-ill patients, murder victims, and prostitutes. SEED provides board, lodging, clothing and education of 271 children in ages 3-18 years. They provide both standard education and vocational training. There have been many success stories in this project and I hope by raising money Asha St. Louis can continue to support this noble venture.

My goal is to raise at least 1300$ (100$ a mile)for - Asha St. Louis projects.
I am proud to be part of an organization that is dedicated to educating the underprivileged children in India, and I hope that you too choose to support me by supporting Asha's mission by donating. The more I raise, the more children we can educate, and the more "asha" (hope) we can all have for our future.

Thank you!
