Penny Box Drive
In Fall 2001, we passed out penny boxes to a few students on campus. At the end of the semester we awarded those who had collected the most pennies. Prizes for dollar amount collected were: $25 - T-Shirt, $30 - trips to the local mall, $35 - movie tickets, $40 - massage by a reputed masseur, $50 - 3 course home cooked meal.

Children's Film Festival
In March 1999, Asha organized a Children's Film Festival for the wider Syracuse community. The diverse range of movies from Hindi to Malayalam to International movies were screened at this one day festival. Approximately 20 families attended this festival. We collected USD 500/- in donations.

Movie Screenings
We often screen movies - in partnership with the student-run Syracuse India Association - on the Syracuse University campus. The screenings are means to reach out to the student body and raise awareness of the kind of activities we engage in.
