* Website - Issue of Updates to Asha Website was brought
up by Veronica. Asha Website has to be updated with
the
latest contents. I have taken the responsibility of
the job and also will see to that all Core Members are
in Asha
Yahoogroups! Due to time constraints, I will take up
the job of revamping the website in summer !
* Minute Taker will inform the new member orientation
group about the new members.
* Basant Mela is pretty much in a organized state now
and so it is suggested that we should go ahead with
the rest of
Asha task's.
* Veronica suggested to have a group discussion/Get
Together among the Asha Members to get the view of asha
members
on topics like,
What is it being a Volunteer for Asha ?
Topics that cannot be taken in the meeting will go for
the Discussion Session !
* Nat will ask Santhosh to give a talk about "Communalism
in Indian Academic Curriculam".
* Talkgroup should try and get a speaker (say a professor
or anybody) to campus soon!
Prashant suggested to try and get a speaker from the
same group as the majority. Say a person from IBM to
speak will
attract more people (as bulk of indians are in Engineering!)
to the meeting! --- Talkgroup please note this
* Present Asha to all Individual Groups in Campus
Maxwell people should try and present ASHA to "Dev
Group" in Maxwell (???)
* Sucharita suggested to have a Dinner for the community
after the Mela, as a fund raiser ( or was it an existing
plan?)
* Asha Members (some or All) should attend the ICRCC
Spring Festival in May
* NO Decision has been made about the Asha Elections
* PR Team should come up with a new poster before the
end of this semester
* We should have concrete plans for Fall before we take
the summer break
* Shanmuga has placed a request for Goldstein for Fall
2002
* Anand has sent the proposal for GSO money. The proposal
is sent asking for $8800 !!!
* Asha Evaluation form should be Prepared and Project
team should check the status of all the 3 projects.
* We should explore ways to collaborate with other ASHA
groups and try to fund projects in some backward states.
( Reasons were given by members as why its not happenening,
but Nat maintained that we should explore ways and try
to fund a project in Lahaul Spiti Valley in HP :-) )
* Nat suggested that we should try and shift to another
bank due to overhead cost associated with sending cheques(??)-
Nat correct me.
