April 26, 2002 (Basant Mela Reflection)

Date: 11/08/2001
Venue: 230 Schine Student Centre
Attendees: Maya Chandrasekaran, Vikas Choudhry, Veronica George,
Shanmuganathan, Radha Ganesan, Natarajan, Kabir Kumar, Anand Rao and Jerry
Kalarickal.

* DP's visit was finalised. He will be requested to give a talk on the 16th
of Nov. @ 4:00PM. Venue and rest of the details are not being changed.

* Pankaj has committed to Radha to mail the T-shirts. Cost and payment
details to be figured out later.

* Asha letter head issue to be finalised by tomorrow (the 9th of Nov.)

* Asha-Syracuse needs to be sure that S.I.A. is screening a movie on the day
the penny boxes will be collected. If S.I.A. doesn't give a concrete
commitment then Asha-Syracuse will have to plan to screen a movie. Kabir
promised to look into the issue by attending tomorrow's screening. If it is
not possible for him to attend then Maya will be informed of the same.

* Shanmugham will try to figure out if Asha-Syracuse's website can be hosted
as a Student Organisation's website. Details to be sought from G.S.O.

* Projects were screened:
1. Bhaskara - Asha-Syracuse expressed its inability to support it.
2. TRY - Passed through initial screening--by a voice vote--and is still
considered as a probable prospect. More details are being sought. Radha will
provide further details as asked for by Veronica.
3. SRKPS - Passed through initial screeing as described above. Asha-Syracuse
expressed its inability to support the project under present circumstances.
4. RPKMS - Passed through initial screening and is still being considered as
a probable prospect. More details were sought. Vikas will provide further
details as asked for by Veronica.
5. Ananya - Support will be continued.

Support for two or more of the probable projects will be made contingent on
the funds available with Asha-Syracuse. Funds will be specifically directed
toward a particular aspect of the project.
