In commemoration of the 54th anniversary of the republic day (of India), Asha-Syracuse is welcoming you to enjoy an evening of ethnic Indian food and
entertainment, including the screening of an Oscar nominated Hindi film 'Lagaan.' (The popular 'Indian Trio': Spicy food, a
Bollywood movie, and
Cricket)
You are also welcome to join Asha-Syracuse gathering and discover the panoply of events for the Spring 2003 semester. We are planning to hold
numerous events for which we need dancers, choreographers, musicians, singers, painters, and ... <you_said_it>. We also need helping hands
to do much more than what we thought we could.
Ponder over this: All your work goes to educate underprivileged kids in India. Definitely not a mighty change in your life but it would
certainly empower someone to lead an educated life. And thus transforming
their generations to come. Think of charity this way: Its an easy, cool, and inexpensive way to empower
children for generations! We also like to invite you to
enjoy and cherish the camaraderie of the cheerful, enthusiastic, and witty volunteers of Asha-Syracuse.
Come, join/volunteer and what it is all about volunteering and linking with a new set of people. Following the gathering, we'll have a dinner and
screening of Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan.' Ask around if you can be of help or just raise your hand--we'll definitely spot you!
See you there!
