Task List
- Get familiar with the ASHA project guidelines.

Get familiar with the project.
Read up previous proposals, project documentation.
Ask previous champions about the project.
- Contact the people in-charge of the project on site.
Gather email addresses, phone numbers, Mail addresses.
Establish contact with them.
- Get the latest project proposal from the project
administrators.
- Attend project meetings.
Be prepared to present an update on the project at the meeting.
Email project proposal to chapter volunteers at least 2 weeks ahead
of meeting.
Present financial update (money sent, money to be sent).
Present any progress reports received.
- Create web-page for the project (if you need help with this,
talk to the Overall Coordinator).
Format the web-page using the standard project template.
Scan and save photos from the project.
Email completed web page to chapter web team for upload to the
site.
- Ensure that the project web page is up to date.
Update with photos, reports, site visits.
Update financial status (sent, to be sent).
- Ensure that committed funds are sent to the project on
schedule.
Work with the Treasurer and the Overall coordinator to ensure
that payments are made on time.
Send the contract to the project for their signature along with the
money.
Send all mail by registered post with acknowledgment.
- Obtain receipts and the signed contract for funds sent.
Obtain contract letter and forms from the overall coordinator.
- Obtain half-yearly report from the project about fund
utilization & progress.
Talk to overall coordinator about what information should be
made available on the report.
- Co-ordinate site visits
Contact the Asha-wide volunteering coordinators Debjyoti
Banerjee (pagladeb@yahoo.com), Amritha (amritha1@aol.com) to find
out about volunteers for site visit for the project.
- Maintain documentation for the project.
Split documentation into two parts (a) finance related, and (b)
other. In (a) include receipts, contract, postal acknowledgement,
etc.
The originals of documents should be in a central place (with the
Overall Coordinator).
Important documentation should be on the web.
- Make flyers for the project to be used to display at events.

- Make project poster to be used at tabling events (include
short summary and photos).

Does the project have ties with Asha-India?
Can such ties be made for closer cooperation in curriculum
development/improvement, vocational training programs?
- Pushing towards Self-Sufficiency
How is the project moving towards self-sufficiency?
What are some (community-specific) steps the project is taking
towards this?
Can these be applied for other projects as well?
- Merchandise
Is the project involved in making merchandise that can be sold
here?
Work out logistics of getting the merchandise here, and selling, and
sending the money.
