Role & Responsibility
Lokesh is one of the youngest volunteers of Asha. He has just finished his BSc program. His passion is in the physical
exercises and arts. As an Ashtanga Yoga trainee, he practices yoga for 1 hour at
Asha home every day. His role will be to serve as a yoga teacher whose services
are available to children in projects supported by Asha all over India.
Recently while on a site visit to Sebama Foundation to assist Asha Colorado, he
had the opportunity to teach children with physical and mental disabilities. He
plays an active role in taking care of volunteers who stay at Asha home. He was
part of the organizing team for Asha’s Blind students Conference in 2004.
Lokesh is a team member for Chennai district Tsunami rehabilitation work. He helped in arranging food packets for Tsunami affected village people in Besant Nagar. "To pursue higher education in a college that will not demand bribes to offer a seat", he says when asked what his future plans are.
