Asha-UIC is a satellite chapter of Asha Chicago. Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to socio-economic change in India. In pursuit of this goal, Asha focuses on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. In keeping with this focus, our volunteers get involved with and support projects that have an education-related component to them.

There are a number of ways you can help Asha. Remember, we are a voluntary organisation. And we are always looking out for people like you and new ways of bringing tangible changes back home. There are lots of exciting things that we are involved with right now the latest being the "Notes of Hope Spring Concert". Find out more..

Asha for Education

presents

"John Wubbenhorst & Facing East "

An evening of beautifully conceived fusion of Indian classical and Western music

The evening includes a stunning virtuoso performance on the flute, the most sensual instrument to have emerged from the rich music culture of India, with added layers of the guitar and topped with vocal percussions. It.s a great opportunity to experience the perfect blending of two cultures.
