There are a number of ways by which you can help this cause and become a part of this action group. Here are a few ways to participate:

1. Signup to join our mailing list (asha-illinois@egroups.com). This will help us inform you about upcoming events, projects being funded and interesting articles that are pertinent to education.
2. Become a volunteer. To facilitate better coordination, Asha-UC is divided into various focus groups, that have specific agendas. Take a look at these focus groups / contact persons. If you're interested in being part of one or more of these groups, please send an email to the group coordinator(s).
   
   
3. Make a donation. No contribution is too big or too small. Please make your check payable to ASHA-Urbana-Champaign and mail it to:

4. Support A Child - Get involved in helping a child receive education. The expenses are expected to be in the range of $10 to $25 per month. You will be directly helping a child in seeing a better future. You will be communicating with the child and monitoring his/her progress. We are starting this project with Udavum Karangal in Madras. If you would like to get involved, contact Ranjini Reddy
   
   
5. ASHA-Stars - A program by which a group of five to ten persons can sponsor a project or part of it, with one of them acting as the contact person for ASHA. Each member of the group commits to support the project for a certain period of time, ranging from 1 to 5 years. The commitment is in terms of time and moral and financial support. Financial contribution is typically $10 to $50 per person per month. Projects need to be in lines with the basic goals of ASHA. ASHA-UC is actively looking for people to participate in this program.
