If you are in India, you can participate in Work An Hour '99 by contributing an hour or more of your pay in Indian Rupees to this cause. Your contributions will be exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act of the Government of India (exemption on 50% of the amount donated).

     Simply record the equivalent US Dollar amount of your contribution(rounded off to the nearest dollar, at Rs.43 = $1) as your pledge in the sign-up form, and choose the option India (Rupees)under Chapter. Our Asha chapters in India will be happy to process your Rupee cheque and provide you with the relevant tax-exemption documents.
