Asha for Education presents its 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk to raise funds to support the education of under-privileged children in India.

The local chapter of Asha for Education has been functioning on Yale University campus since 1999 and currently supports several projects all over India.

This year's 5K continues our focus and commitment on the needs of educating under-privileged masses. While we continue our involvement with the volunteers working on the ground at existing projects, we are also seeking out more ways to impact and catalyze the change we wish to see. To this end, some of the projects we have been involved in include the Shamayita School, Anandan, Sarada Kalyan Bandar (SKB), Sikshana, Girls Bicycle Project, Orissa School - Juanga and Lok Mitra. You can read more about these and other projects on our website.

Over 250 people have helped make this event over the last couple of years.
